Beginner Class

The Class:

Murray's Fly Fishing Beginner group course is an all day class. The class consists of seminar instruction, casting and fishing sessions.

The group classes are not available at the moment due to Covid.

You will learn

• How to select fly fishing equipment;
• How to tie the fly fishing knots;
• Fly fishing theories and principles;
• Casting;
• How to select flies for the seasons and various fishing areas;
• How to catch and release a fish on a fly rod;



By the end of the day, you will have gained confidence in fly fishing and catching fish. You will understand all the basics of fly fishing. You will be able to cast a fly rod and catch & release a fish.

Catch & Release

The fishes are released at Murray's Fly Fishing School.

Fly Fishing Equipment

We provide you with the fly fishing equipment for the duration of the class.

Throughout the day, you will be able to try and compare equipment of various quality, from inexpensive to high-end top quality. You will receive a course booklet.
